Muscat to get 100-bed multispeciality hospital by 2020

Muscat - Al Afia Healthcare Development and Investment Company, a joint venture established between Oman Brunei Investment Company, Suhail Bahwan Group and Idealmed Group, unveiled its latest project, the Idealmed Muscat Hospital, at a press conference in Muscat and attended by dignitaries, high ranking government officials and medical institutions.


The hospital has been planned to address the needs of the people of the Sultanate and will be a milestone in the development of private healthcare services. The hospital extends over 10,000 sqm overlooking Sultan Qaboos Street at Al Ghubrah and will offer 100 beds, 43 specialized medical clinics, centers of excellence in ophthalmology, orthopedics, cardiovascular disease, and mother and child care.
